Prosecutors urge judge to allow evidence from Aaron Hernandez’s cellphone

FALL RIVER — In the ongoing legal battle over the contents of Aaron Hernandez’s cellphone, prosecutors say the phone was lawfully seized and urged a judge to deny a motion to suppress the evidence.

In a court paper released Tuesday, prosecutors say the cellphone was voluntarily surrendered in the lobby of the Boston office of lawyers representing the former New England Patriots star after police obtained a warrant for it.
