Panel upholds father's battery conviction

NEW CASTLE — Add three judges on the Indiana Court of Appeals to the list of people who don’t believe Joseph A. Curnutt was asleep when he tried to strangle his 7-year-old son.

 The appeals panel recently upheld the Henry County man’s 2013 convictions, on two counts of battery, and a 35-year prison term imposed by Circuit Court 1 Judge Mary Willis.
