Dunn sentencing delayed; new trial in Jordan Davis' death scheduled for May 5

A judge has agreed to delay Michael Dunn’s sentencing for his attempted-murder convictions and scheduled his new trial for May 5 on the first-degree murder charge that jurors couldn’t decide in 17-year-old Jordan Davis’ death.

Dunn, 47, had been scheduled to be sentenced the week of March 24, but his attorney requested it be postponed until after the new trial. Judge Russell Healey agreed over the objections of prosecutors.
