Witnesses report heavy drug use in Lincoln Park murder trial; sister claims defendant is being railroaded ( Deborah Seifert )

DETROIT — Two former housemates of Gerald Dennis Jr. testified in his murder trial Wednesday of heavy drug use in the small house on College Avenue in Lincoln Park.

 Dennis, 45, is accused of first-degree murder in the death of his sister, Deborah Seifert, who owned the house. His attorney, James Schlaff, says Dennis has an acute form of schizophrenia. He was found competent to stand trial.
