Channon Christian's parents seek change in '13th juror' rule

KNOXVILLE — The parents of a torture-slaying victim on Monday announced plans to pursue changes in the legal system via state laws.

 Gary Christian and wife Deena Christian, parents of slain University of Tennessee student Channon Christian, are backing two proposed laws that would bar defense attorneys from impugning the character of crime victims and crystallize the so-called “13th juror” rule for judges.
