BREAKING - Mario McNeill GUILTY of first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, sexual offense of a child, indecent liberties with a child, human trafficking and sexual servitude in the death of Shaniya Davis

Jurors will return next Tuesday, May 28th, to hear evidence before deciding whether McNeill should be sentenced to death or life in prison without parole.

“We the family would like you to put every court date in the paper,” Joan Knable wrote in a letter to the editor.

“The next court date at Sycamore Court House is August 29, 2012.”

 Knable is referring to the case against 35-year-old William Curl, who is accused of sexually assaulting and murdering Knable’s 18-year-old granddaughter from Plainfield on Oct. 14, 2010, while the Neuqua Valley grad was a freshman at Northern Illinois University.
