FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. —
Wayne Treacy was convicted Monday of attempted first-degree murder
for the savage beating of Josie Lou Ratley in March 2010.
Treacy, 17, was silent and showed no expression as the verdict was read about 1:45 p.m. EDT Monday in Broward Criminal Court. His mother, Donna Powers, also showed no expression.
Treacy faces a maximum sentence of 50 years in prison.
