THIBODAUX, La. — A judge in Louisiana has appointed two psychiatrists to evaluate whether a man accused of beheading his disabled son is sane enough to help with his defense.
Defense attorney Kerry Cuccia (KOO’-chuh) says the arraignment for 30-year-old Jeremiah Wright has been postponed until Oct. 17, when the judge also will hear the psychiatrists’ testimony.
Cuccia won’t say why he requested the evaluation by psychiatrists or why Lafourche Parish Judge Hugh Larose decided to appoint them. He says he filed three sealed exhibits.READ MORE HERE:
