FARMINGTON -- A man accused of killing his 4-year-old stepson is scheduled to appear in court for an evidentiary hearing.
Prosecutors say Nathan Sloop killed Ethan Stacy last year and dumped his body in the mountains.
Sloop's hearing is expected to last three days. During the proceedings, prosecutors will present the evidence they have against Sloop.
This story made national headlines last year when Ethan went missing. His body later was found buried near Powder Mountain in Weber County. Court documents list "severe abuse" as the cause of his death.
