We've all heard and watched a lot of videos and phone calls between Misty and Tommy Croslin and family members but very little on Ron Cummings and Donna Brock. but Icame across some phone calls from Donna. Tracy Ocasio (one year later)
The search for Tracy Ocasio is on going. The person of interest, James Virgil Hattaway, is now considered a suspect in the disappearance of Tracy, by law enforcement. Her car was found parked near his home the night she disappeared.
A couple weeks ago the family and the rescue group searched the woods near where James has been known to frequent. The family had a tip on her license and her car keys. Nothing has been recovered yet. A new search resumes June 6th, no volunteers are needed at this time. The family wants to retrace their tracks and start from the beginning to make sure nothing was over looked.
Tracy was last seen at the Tap Room Bar in Metro West. Its is a local bar where local young adults go to hang out and watch sporting events. It is not a place of thugs like some have mentioned. It is local people in the age group of 20's and 30's. In a upscale neighborhood. All bars no matter where located have undesirables in them. Most young adults who go to the Tap Room are from good families. There has been bar fights there ,yes, but most bars have a scuffle or two.
Tracy's parents are working so hard to find clues or the whereabouts of their daughter. Most can not even imagine the pain or grief they feel. They have spent endless hours pouring over every blog, news article, comments to see if they can find something or any clue that will help them in locating their daughters whereabouts. No one can imagine the pain they feel tracing their daughters last steps. It has to be the hardest thing they have ever done in their lives. We can only hope this family gets closure and justice for their daughter.
Description of events:
Tracy was last seen at the Florida Tap Room Restaurant & Bar in Metro West Orlando watching the Magic basketball game on Tuesday night May 26th. She did not come home right after the game. Her car was reported and found abandoned on Franklin St Ocoee at 7:00 PM Wednesday May 27th. Her keys, Verizon cell phone and wallet have never been found and to date no tips have been reported of sightings of her car between the time she supposedly left the Taproom at 2:00 AM and the next day when her car was found.

The bad news is that yesterday we did not find Tracy. The good news is that we have a Lake area spot where several cadaver dogs hit on which we are going back to confirm either way. However it could be something else all together so I do not want to get our hopes too high. In addition we are concentrating our next efforts in areas where the Ocoee police was searching while James Hataway was nervous and looking at websites on how to commit suicide. Maybe he knew something back then and we were not paying attention. I want to give thanks to all of the search and rescue members for their continued efforts and for giving us hope, especially to Danny and Kathy! I do not know what I would do with out their help! I also want to thank the media for providing awareness to our daughter’s case. Every time they do this we get a spike on tips and I hope and pray one of these days it lead us to her. Even though "the day after" has been extremely disappointing and the feeling of hopelessness is in our hearts today I assure you we’ll get over it and we’ll get focused again with finding our daughter and getting justice. Murder charges filed against Sloops; could face death penalty

Both are eligible for the death penalty.
The aggravated murder charges carry possible mandatory penalties of death, life in prison without parole or 25 years to life in prison.
Prosecutors reserved the right under Utah to later file an intent to seek the death penalty against the Sloops.
Prosecutors have several days to submit such an intent.
Prosecutors said the decision regarding the death penalty will be made within the time allowed by law and that they will decide on an intent to seek the death penalty after they have received all relevant evidence and information and have carefully considered "...statutory, aggravating or mitigating circumstances."
Prosecutors also indicated that they will consult with the Utah attorney general's office, Layton Police and Ethan's family before filing such an intent.
The Sloops were arrested after the body of Ethan Stacy was found off a trail near Powder Mountain nearly 2 weeks ago.

A search was organized and later called off after continued police interrogation of the Sloops, who led investigators to a shallow grave near Powder Mountain. Ethan's body was recovered from the site and the Sloops were taken into police custody.
A Layton Police probable cause statement says Nathan beat Ethan and that the boy died in his bed after suffering from some sort of head trauma over several days.
The statement also indicated that the Sloops left Ethan locked in a bedroom at home on May 6th as the couple left home to get married.
Police say the Sloops left Ethan at home because they were afraid someone would notice the signs of physical abuse on the boy and turn them into authorities.
The Sloops were scheduled to be arraigned in Farmington at 1:30 p.m.

Sloops charged with aggravated murder in Ethan Stacy's death

Both Stephanie and Nathan Sloop are being charged with aggravated murder in the death of her 4-year-old son, Ethan.
Prosecutors released the charges Friday morning in advance of a 1:30 p.m. hearing in front of 2nd District Judge John Morris, who will read the Sloops the charges against them, and determine bail options and who will represent them in court.
Previously, only Nathan Sloop was being held on aggravated murder charges.
The charging documents say the couple abused the child between April 29 and May 8, leading to Ethan's death.
"The criminal acts included beatings, burning, drugging, isolating, malnourishing, leaving the child alone and unattended while suffering, and refusing to seek vital life-sustaining medical attention," the charging documents state.
In Utah, aggravated murder charges can carry three penalties: death, life in prison without parole, or 25 years to life in prison with the option of parole.
Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings said he decided whether to file death-penalty charges "within the time allowed by law," which could be months away.
Joe Stacy, Ethan's father, is supportive of seeking the death penalty in the case, he said Friday.
"I'm just happy they got the charges they got," he said. Both also will face second-degree felony child abuse and obstruction of justice charges and third-degree felony desecration of a body charges. Nathan Sloop also is charged with third-degree felony damaging a jail.
Stephanie Sloop finalized her divorce from Joe Stacy in Florida on April 28 and brought the 4-year-old to Utah for the summer.
A week after Ethan arrived in Layton on May 5, Nathan Sloop, 31, began abusing the child, according to police.
Nathan and Stephanie Sloop, 27, married the next day in Farmington, leaving the bruised boy injured in a locked bedroom. Investigators say he died four days later on Mother's Day.
The Sloops reported him missing May 10, but after a 12-hour search, police say the couple confessed they disfigured Ethan's face before burying him off a trail near Powder Mountain Ski Resort.

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - It's an ABC4 exclusive as mother and accused killer Stephanie Sloop finally speaks out from her jail cell.
ABC4 wrote Stephanie Sloop a letter last week, asking the Layton woman about her thoughts and feelings on her life, her deceased son Ethan and the potential murder charges. On Wednesday, ABC4 finally received a response from Stephanie on the back of the original letter we sent the accused killer.
"HA, HA, HA (in capital letters she writes), I've invoked my right to remain silent or didn't my attorney already say that?" Sloop wrote in large letters in pencil on the back of our request then mailed it in our lilac self-addressed envelope we originally enclosed. The Chief Deputy for the Davis County Jail confirms that Sloop is the only one who could have seen that letter.
However, Criminal Defense Attorney Greg Skordas says sending the letter was a bad idea. "Her tone is offensive and mocking," Skordas told ABC4 after reading it. "It's creepy."
Skordas addded that if her defense wanted to say she wasn't mentally competent at the time of the murder, the letter contradicts that defense. "She references the 6th amendment of the constitution, it contras any potential defense if she says she doesn't remember or was in a fog, " Skordas believes.
Stephanie and her husband Nathan Sloop are currently behind bars in Davis County. The couple will appear before a judge on Friday where aggravated murder charges may be filed. Autopsy results on 4-year-old Ethan Stacy's body are expected as well.

Stephanie Sloop has been sitting in the Davis County Jail in Layton, Utah awaiting murder charges. On the back of the letter from ABC4 Stephanie Sloop wrote:
"HA, HA, HA, I've invoked my right to remain silent or didn't my attorney already say that?"
She wrote the sentence in pencil in large letters and returned it in the self addressed envelope that ABC4 included. The short note is sarcastic and not at all remorseful.
Amazingly, this right to remain silent comes less than two weeks after either her or husband, Nathan Sloop told the police where they could find 4-year-old Ethan’s body.

Natalee Holloway missing persons center set to open in D.C. in June
The 2005 disappearance of high school graduate Natalee Holloway in Aruba during a senior class trip set off a media frenzy that resulted in several books, a Lifetime network movie and hours and hours of coverage. But years have passed and there is still no word on what happened to Holloway.
Her mother, Beth Holloway, who has worked tirelessly to keep attention on her daughter's disappearance, will be in Washington in June to announce the opening of the Natalee Holloway Resource Center, a new nonprofit to assist families searching for missing relatives.
The center will be based at the National Museum of Crime & Punishment on Seventh Street NW near Chinatown and the Verizon Center. The museum features Holloway's disappearance in its "Cold Case" exhibit.
The nonprofit plans to serve as a crisis clearinghouse for families of missing persons in the United States and abroad, according to a statement from the museum. The nonprofit plans to give family members a plan, contact information, a media liaison and other services. It also will offer guidelines for children and adults to travel safely, including creating a national network of college volunteers who will promote the group's safe travel program to high school and college students.
The launch is scheduled for June 8. The museum will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. at no charge. More information can be found on the center's Web site.

Nevaeh Buchanan disappeared and was murdered just over one year ago. Nevaeh's great grandmother said "Somebody has got to know Something, It has been a year"!
Relatives organized and sponsored a Carnival event called Remembering Nevaeh to gear it toward the kids, presentations on child safety, abuse prevention, counseling and creating a child safety contingency plan. Family, friends and the public are concerned and frustrated at the lack of any new updates regarding Nevaeh's murder.
There has been no arrest and the killer is still at large. The family hasn't had any updates since the murder of Nevaeh unfolded.
The paternal grandmother, Carla said she has not been contacted or informed by anyone since this horrific tragedy occurred. Her son Shane, Nevaeh's father, has not been contacted or informed concerning any new information regarding the murder of his daughter. Listed Persons of interest were friends of the Mother Jennifer Buchanan were George Kennedy, Roy Smith who both lived at the Motel 7 in Monroe. Roy Smith, 48 at the time also a convicted sex offender. Roy Smith is actually one of 2 sex offenders by the same name, associated with Kennedy. The other, is one of 6 other sex offenders living at Motel 7 alongside him. It is not known if they are related.
George Kennedy 39 at the time is also a convicted sex offender. Police obtained a search warrant and searched a room at the Motel 7 on South Dixie Highway that has been occupied by Kennedy. Among the items removed for processing were blood-stained shorts, shirts, and towels. Monroe County Sheriff Tilman Crutchfield said preliminary DNA results taken earlier in the week of when it happened from a motel room where person of interest George Kennedy stayed, does not match Nevaeh Buchanan's DNA.
Motel 7 is on South Dixie Highway with the Kuhlman Cement Company, which is located behind it.

Nevaeh Amyah Buchanan--Nevaeh is heaven spelled back words. Amyah was her great great grandmother's name. Nevaeh was 5 years old, playing on her scooter on the property of the Charlotte Arms Apartment complex. Her mother, Jennifer Buchanan, lived there with her mother, Sherry Buchanan. Nevaeh's life was short. She disappeared in the evening on May 24, 2009. Her body was found a week and a half later on the banks of the River Raisin in Raisinville Township buried in a shallow grave with cement over her. She was found by Guy Bickley in a shallow grave while fishing near the river's edge.
A youngster who was playing with Nevaeh Buchanan told police that Nevaeh had been “kidnapped” by a “bad man” who stabbed her. That was on May 24 at about 6:30 p.m. when Nevaeh told her mom, “…I’m going upstairs to Austin’s house to play a game.” When she left to play with Austin, Nevaeh was wearing a baby blue, red, and white striped shirt and knee-length jeans. Buchanan said Nevaeh would wait until the last minute to use the bathroom and just prior to leaving had an accident and changed her clothes. Mom was watching tv and never checked to see if Nevaeh reached her destination. Then 20 minutes later a neighbor knocked on the door. Then Jennifer stated, " She looked right at me and says, ‘Nevaeh is on her scooter in the road.' She said the road, but I knew she meant the parking lot.” Jennifer went looking for Nevaeh and could not find her.
Jennifer Buchanan has been arrested for home invasion. Some of the home invasions she did, Nevaeh was with her. Custody of Nevaeh ended up going to Jennifer's mother, Sherry Buchanan. Sherry works in a grocery store, when at work Jennifer babysat Nevaeh.
Sherry Buchanan said, " Nevaeh loved life, was a very happy child. I want everyone to know she was a tomboy, loved motorcycle toys. Many times I took her to the dollar store, she always picked out the little motorcycles. Then when at home her and Jennifer would play with them on the table bumping them into each other. She loved going to school, woke up excited every morning. She was a very happy little girl. My heart breaks when I see cartoons or things she loved. It breaks my heart to think of her. Nevaeh knew sign language,her mother taught her and they use to sign to each other. She learned it from a book that her mother bought for her."
Jennifer also has hard times when remembering Nevaeh. She dreams of her constantly. " I dream of her talking and no words come out of her mouth, I can hear myself but Nevaeh's lips move and I hear no words. Another disturbing frequent dream I have is: They find Nevaeh, give her skin grafts and a new heart. Put her back together and then they give her back to me. I miss her and cartoons bother me. Its getting easier now that a year has passed. I asked the police were her clothes on or off, they wouldn't tell me. In fact they haven't told me anything." After stating this Jennifer walked away, her mother was upset also.
Jennifer gets concerned what others think of her. She thinks people are blaming her, pointing fingers at her, being unfair. She doesn't like to be interviewed. She says she is innocent. She feels people staring at her when in public."People notice me," she said. "They point, they whisper to each other. They can be cruel. I don't let it bother me." Jennifer was in jail for 2 years and was released in January of 2009. Nevaeh disappeared 4 months later.
Jennifer has friends that are very questionable. Two of them are sex offenders. George David Kennedy, Roy Smith. George Kennedy, 39,was living at the Motel 7 down the road. Which is about 200 feet from the cement factory that rumors say the cement might have come from. Quick Dry cement was used to cover Nevaeh's body. George Kennedy has a liking for young girls and is a convicted sex offender. Jennifer denies having a romantic relationship with George but stated that George was the only man in Nevaeh's life and Nevaeh referred to George Kennedy as " daddy George". Roy Smith,48, has a 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct. Roy and George are friends. “As for Roy, I only knew him for a couple of months,” Jennifer said, “Because he knew George and they had some kind of classes together, I figured Roy had the same offense as him.”
It has been said that Jennifer has failed all 3 polygraphs given to her by the police and FBI. How can a Mother expose their children to sexual predator's? How could she think he would change? They do not change, once a pedophile always a pedophile. JUSTICE FOR NEVAEH ( and all the lost children of our world JUSTICE). This young child should have never been put in this situation. Nevaeh Amyah Buchanan--Nevaeh is heaven spelled back words. Amyah was her great great grandmother's name. Nevaeh was 5 years old, playing on her scooter on the property of the Charlotte Arms Apartment complex. Her mother, Jennifer Buchanan, lived there with her mother, Sherry Buchanan. Her body was found a week and a half later on the banks of the River Raisin in Raisinville Township buried in a shallow grave with cement over her. She was found by Guy Bickley in a shallow grave while fishing near the river's edge.

Tracy Ocasio case: James Hataway is now a suspect
James Hataway was previously considered a "person of interest" in the disappearance of Tracy Ocasio

Ocoee investigators on Wednesday declared James Hataway the man responsible for Tracy Ocasio's disappearance and possibly her death.
"We believe [Hataway] did it. He's always been a suspect," Sgt. Mike Bryant of the Ocoee Police Department said Wednesday — almost a year after the 27-year-old Ocoee woman disappeared from a MetroWest sports bar. "He is suspected of killing her."
Until Wednesday, police had referred to 29-year-old Hataway as a "person of interest" and never filed charges against him in the Ocasio case. He is currently in the Seminole County jail awaiting trial in an unrelated attempted-murder case.
Charges related to Ocasio are not pending against Hataway at this time.
If Hataway is released, Bryant said officials could press charges to send him back to jail.
"As long as he's in jail, we have time to work our case and continue searching for [Ocasio]," Bryant said.
Ocasio vanished from the Tap Room bar on Raleigh Street in MetroWest after watching an Orlando Magic game on May 27, 2009.
She was seen leaving with Hataway sometime around 1:30 a.m. Hataway told Ocoee police she gave him a ride home and left. Police don't believe him, Bryant said.
Hataway was on the verge of going to trial in April in Seminole in that attempted murder case, but his lawyer won a delay, saying he intends to ask a judge to move that trial out of Central Florida because of all the publicity surrounding the Ocasio case.
It's not clear now when Hataway will go to trial in Seminole. In that case, a woman accuses Hataway of choking her, trying to snap her neck and banging her head into the ground repeatedly after she drove him home from a party then resisted his advances
She alleges that Hataway attacked her about a year before Ocasio disappeared.
Officers have followed more than 100 tips and performed more than a dozen searches in the Ocasio case.
"The searches have failed because we have not found her," Bryant said.
Ocasio's friends and family attended the hour-long news conference at the Police Department when detectives discussed the case Wednesday.
Friends Courtney Turner, 27, and Taryn Anthony, 26, cried when detectives talked about not being able to find Ocasio.
They wiped away tears and hugged each other.
Ocasio's parents, Liz and Joe, and her younger brother, Joey, also joined the news conference to talk about a search planned for June 5 and 6 in the Ocoee area.
Volunteers are not needed.
"We are re-tracing our steps, and we hope that it will lead us back to our daughter," Joe Ocasio said. "It's like a needle in a hay stack; we don't know where to start."
Her family urged the public to call in any information about where their daughter could be found.
"Even if you don't think it's important, please tell us," Liz Ocasio said. "We just want to get her, bring her home and lay her to rest."

NEW YORK -- The Manhattan district attorney's office is reopening the decades-old case of a missing 6-year-old boy whose photo was the first to be put on a milk carton.
Six-year-old Etan Patz vanished May 25, 1979.
He was last seen walking two blocks from his lower Manhattan home to a bus stop for the ride to school.
Etan was the subject of one of the most extensive missing-child searches ever.
He was never found but was officially declared dead in 2001.
Jose Ramos, an imprisoned child molester, is still considered the prime suspect in the case of the missing child.
Although he was never charged in the case, officials determined he had a direction connection with the child having dated a woman who used to care for Etan.
Ramos' former girlfriend had worked for the Patzes, walking Etan to and from school during a bus strike.
Investigators connected Ramos, a convicted pedophile, to the Etan Patz case.
In a 2004 civil suit, a New York judge ruled Ramos responsible for Etan's death -- a charge he denied.
Ramos is currently serving time in a Pennsylvania prison for molesting an 8-year-old boy in an unrelated case.
He is expected to stay behind bars until 2012.
The office of District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. said Wednesday it is looking into the case, making good on a campaign promise.

Tasha Miller said she delivered a baby at home more than two weeks ago, but no one has been able to locate the baby.

Tuesday morning, a judge delayed Miller's initial appearance until Wednesday to give Marion County prosecutors more time to consider what charges to file against her.

Report: Misty Croslin's dad urges daughter to 'tell the truth'
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Time and time again in recordings of jailhouse visits released by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Friday, Hank Croslin Sr. pleads with his daughter Misty Cummings to tell the truth if she knows anything about missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings.
"The idea is that whatever you know, you need to tell," Croslin said.
"Daddy, I have," said Cummings, Haleigh's former stepmother. "It's not my fault they don't listen."
"If we could just find out what happened to Haleigh, man, everybody will be better off," Croslin said.
"People don't understand," a tearful Cummings said. "If I knew, I would tell. I don't know anything else. I told them everything I know."

In the recordings, Cummings complains to her father that she's bored, can't sleep at night and doesn't like to look out the window because she gets depressed.
"This is ain't punishment," she told him. "Where you get to just sit around and do nothing, that's not punishment. Punishment is where they have you working, doing things in the jail, making you a slave. That's punishing. I wish they'd make me come and clean and do stuff. I'm serious."
Cummings also told her father she's hoping to be offered a deal from attorneys for her eight drug trafficking charges, but her father told her he doesn't think a deal is likely.
Cummings later complained that she can't see her brother Hank Croslin Jr., who is also being held at the same jail on similar charges.
"I don't know why they won't let me see my brother in here," she said.
"(Hank) 'Tommy' (Croslin Jr.) is mad at you for bring his name up in that (expletive)," Croslin Sr. said. "He said he didn't know nothing about it. He wasn't there, and he doesn't know why you said that about him."
"Then don't be holding nothing back from nobody," Croslin Sr. added. "Get it out there. Let it out, man. Tell the truth."
"I swear on everything, I've told the truth dad," Cummings said. "There's nothing else. I don't know. And that's the truth, you know?"

New documents filed in Casey Anthony case
New documents that were filed in the first-degree murder case against Casey Anthony were made public today.
One item deals with a hearing scheduling conflict with Mark NeJame, the attorney representing Texas EquuSearch.
Earlier, Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry set a hearing for June 1 to hear arguments on the defense's requests to seal jail-visitation logs and to have Perry reconsidered earlier rulings by the initial judge on the case.
One of those items to be discussed involves documents belonging to EquuSearch, the group that helped organize large volunteer searches for Casey Anthony's daughter Caylee, before the toddler's remains were found.
NeJame stated that Casey Anthony's defense team scheduled the hearing without coordinating with him, and he had a pre-planned family holiday that day.
NeJame stated his office is coordinating a new hearing date with Casey Anthony's defense, and that he was filing the conflict notice simply to assure his portion of the hearing be cancelled and rescheduled.
Also made public today is a filing from the Justice Administrative Commission, the state entity responsible for paying defense costs.
The JAC was responding to Casey Anthony's request to transcribe eight depositions. The JAC stated it does not object to regular paid rates, which are already established.
The latest additions to the Casey Anthony case file follow several from Monday.
One item filed by prosecutors was in response to a defense request asking the judge to order the state to provide certain forensic information, including details about labs that performed tests on evidence.
In his response, Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton said certain items requested by Casey Anthony's defense team are not in the possession of the state or any of its agencies.
Ashton wrote that the state shouldn't be compelled to obtain additional information — known as discovery — that Casey Anthony's defense team can "easily" obtain on their own.
Ashton provided the court with a chart detailing items requested by Casey Anthony's defense. He indicated which items are not discoverable under Florida statute.

One item deals with a hearing scheduling conflict with Mark NeJame, the attorney representing Texas EquuSearch.
Earlier, Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry set a hearing for June 1 to hear arguments on the defense's requests to seal jail-visitation logs and to have Perry reconsidered earlier rulings by the initial judge on the case.
One of those items to be discussed involves documents belonging to EquuSearch, the group that helped organize large volunteer searches for Casey Anthony's daughter Caylee, before the toddler's remains were found.
NeJame stated that Casey Anthony's defense team scheduled the hearing without coordinating with him, and he had a pre-planned family holiday that day.
NeJame stated his office is coordinating a new hearing date with Casey Anthony's defense, and that he was filing the conflict notice simply to assure his portion of the hearing be cancelled and rescheduled.
Also made public today is a filing from the Justice Administrative Commission, the state entity responsible for paying defense costs.
The JAC was responding to Casey Anthony's request to transcribe eight depositions. The JAC stated it does not object to regular paid rates, which are already established.
The latest additions to the Casey Anthony case file follow several from Monday.
One item filed by prosecutors was in response to a defense request asking the judge to order the state to provide certain forensic information, including details about labs that performed tests on evidence.
In his response, Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton said certain items requested by Casey Anthony's defense team are not in the possession of the state or any of its agencies.
Ashton wrote that the state shouldn't be compelled to obtain additional information — known as discovery — that Casey Anthony's defense team can "easily" obtain on their own.
Ashton provided the court with a chart detailing items requested by Casey Anthony's defense. He indicated which items are not discoverable under Florida statute.

Nevaeh's Killer Still at Large
Nevaeh Buchanan disappeared and was murdered just over one year ago. Nevaeh's great grandmother on the paternal side said "Somebody has got to know Something, It has been a year"!
Risa Thompson a relative organized and sponsored a Carnival event called Remembering Nevaeh to gear it toward the kids, presentations on child safety, abuse prevention, counseling and creating a child safety contingency plan. Also games with prizes, food, live entertainment and exhibitions by local gymnastics and karate students at the Moose Lodge in Monroe Michigan this past weekend.
Several Toledo News stations arrived to cover the event and a few local papers.
Family, friends and the public are concerned and frustrated at the lack of any new updates regarding Nevaeh's murder.
There has been no arrest and the killer is still at large. The family hasn't had any updates since the murder of Nevaeh unfolded.
The paternal grandmother, Carla said "she has not been contacted or informed by anyone since this horrific tragedy occurred". Her son Shane, Nevaeh's father has not been contacted or informed concerning any new information regarding the murder of his daughter. He has tried calling Law Enforcement several times for answers only to be told "no comment".

Two fishermen Guy Bickley, 52, of Frenchtown Township and his father, Lowell Kirk, 72, of Cleveland, Tenn., found the body of Nevaeh while fishing June 4, 2009 AT 11:00 a.m. buried in dirt in a shallow grave and covered with quick-drying concrete along the River Raisin.
About 4:30 p.m. Friday June5th 2009, a Monroe County sheriff’s deputy arrived at Jennifer Buchanan’s apartment.
Shane, the girl’s father, said the deputy, who left without commenting, asked about getting fingerprints of the girl to try to positively identify the body since no one from the family would go to the morgue to identify Nevaeh’s body. Family members said investigators left with a toy telephone and Nevaeh’s toothbrush.
Law Enforcement released the following:
According to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, “The autopsy results have revealed that Nevaeh’s death was caused by aspiration of (dirt). This means that Nevaeh’s face was forcibly maintained or embedded into a dirt surface. Whether this resulted from another person forcibly pressing her face into dirt or whether she was buried alive could not be determined.” A relative told reporters, “Detectives said she did not suffer any trauma. They said she was buried face down.”
She was buried naked in shallow grave and her clothes were underneath her.
A layer of quick-drying concrete was poured on top of her.
Authorities believe she was buried alive with evidence of dirt in her lungs, throat and nose.
Carpet fibers were found under her fingernails.
Also found was a beer can and a cigarette butt.
A empty bag of 90lb. quick dry cement.
A near by pile of burnt items also included another beer can and a partially burnt surgical glove.

Listed Persons of interest were friends of the Mother Jennifer Buchanan were George Kennedy, and Roy Smith who both lived at the Motel 7 in Monroe. Roy Smith, 48 at the time also a convicted sex offender. Roy Smith is actually one of 2 sex offenders by the same name, associated with Kennedy. The other, is one of 6 other sex offenders living at Motel 7 alongside him. It is not known if they are related.
George Kennedy 39 at the time is also a convicted sex offender. Police obtained a search warrant and searched a room at the Motel 7 on South Dixie Highway that has been occupied by Kennedy. Among the items removed for processing were blood-stained shorts, shirts, and towels. Monroe County Sheriff Tilman Crutchfield said preliminary DNA results taken earlier in the week of when it happened from a motel room where person of interest George Kennedy stayed, does not match Nevaeh Buchanan's DNA.
Both George Kennedy and Roy Smith remain behind bars on parole violations.
Motel 7 is on South Dixie Highway with the Kuhlman Cement Company, which is located behind it.

Jennifer Buchanan on an interview with MoJo In the Morning 95.5 fm's radio show when she was asked, " Do you think that George Kennedy or anyone associated with George Kennedy had anything to do with her, Nevaeh's disappearance"? Jennifer's response "I am pretty sure somebody probably associated with George or his girlfriend or a few others.... I don't know, I don't know".
So many unanswered questions remain in this case. When and will we ever get more answers? It has been a full year and still nothing. What a shame!

National Missing Children's Day
May 25, 2010 will mark the 28th National Missing Children's Day. First proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan and observed by every administration since, May 25th is the anniversary of the day in 1979 when 6-year-old Etan Patz disappeared from a New York street corner on his way to school.
His story captivated the nation. His photo, taken by his father, a professional photographer, was circulated nationwide and appeared in media across the nation and around the world. Etan became the poster-child for a movement. The powerful image came to symbolize the anguish and trauma of thousands of searching families.
For nearly three decades, the search for Etan has continued. Just as that day when President Reagan proclaimed the first National Missing Children's Day, Etan is still missing. The widespread attentionbrought to his case and those of others eventually led to a nationwide commitment to help locate and recover missing children.
National Missing Children's Day honors this commitment by reminding parents, guardians, and other trusted-adult role models to make child safety a priority.

I noticed that Tommy was speaking about Joe Overstreet and at this time he doesn't seem to believe Misty's story. doesn't believe Joe is involved and comments that once Joe left Misty could have called the police.. have a listen?

Now.. if I have been understanding this puzzle to date.. Tommy has made a half assed confession that he knows what happened to Haleigh. he said Joe came to his home the night Haleigh vanished and held a knife to his throat. walked him to the truck or van and he saw her in the vehicle. he says Joe doesn't know he saw her, but he did.. I wonder, if Joe wasn't aware that he saw her why Joe would need to hold a knife to him and threaten him.. what was that about?
Tommy goes on in those videos to tell his dad.. you have heard it before..... think about it .... you know me. I am trying to do what I need to do to go home.. I hope I haven't messed everything up.
All I can say after following this case and listening to this family whine and beg and lie is that they are all a lost cause.. No member of this family that we have heard from yet has any credibility at all and not one of them will take responsibility for the mess their lives are in. the fault lays at the feet of the Cops. other Family members or the State of Florida.
I have come to the conclusion and this is just my own opinion that Joe Overstreet played no part in whatever happened to Haleigh. He is their fall guy. There are three main players here and that is Misty and Tommy Croslin and Ronald Cummings.. I don't even want to get started on Daddy Dearest. I can only hope that if they don't find Haleigh or what happened to her that each of the players get years behind bars for the drug deals....that may be the closest we come in the end for little Haleigh to get any justice at all.

Judge: Melissa Huckaby gag order stands
STOCKTON, CA - The judge hearing the murder case of Melissa Huckaby, who pleaded guilty to the kidnapping and murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu, has ruled against rescinding her gag order.
San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge Linda Lofthus denied a motion by several media organizations seeking the order be lifted.
A lawyer for Cantu's family filed a motion last week to keep police and coroner documents related to the condition and examination of the child's body, including crime scene photographs, sealed.
In her ruling Monday, Lofthus said, "This case isn't over yet."
Huckaby, whose pleaded guilty in a deal with the San Joaquin County District Attorney Office two weeks ago to avoid the death penalty, is scheduled to be sentenced June 14.

Ethan Stacy Update: Hundreds March in Utah to Honor Slain 4-Year-Old
LAYTON, Utah (CBS/AP) Hundreds gathered for a 10-mile walk to honor 4-year-old Ethan Stacy, whose badly beaten body was dug up from a Utah mountainside grave nearly two weeks ago.

Ethan's mother and stepfather are being held in the case, and prosecutors have said the couple will likely be charged with aggravated murder in the boy's death.
Authorities allege that the stepfather, Nathaniel Sloop, beat the boy for days, then used a hammer to disfigure his face and teeth before burying his body.
On Saturday, about 400 people marched the 10.3-mile route from the Sloop's Layton apartment complex to the Davis County Justice Center - a gesture organizers said was intended as a symbolic call for justice.
Ethan, who had been in Utah for a summer visit with his mother, was buried Wednesday near his father's home in Richlands, Va.
Prosecutors have been waiting for an official cause of death to be determined by the medical examiner, but are expected to file charges on Friday.

For Tara Cooper, Saturday's walk was a reminder of the abuse she herself once lived with.
A boyfriend who showed no hint of violence shook Cooper's daughter so fiercely when she was 15-months-old that the infant suffered severe brain injuries. Now 13, Cooper said her daughter has mental capacity of a 5-year-old and will never live independently.
"But she is in every way our angel," Cooper said. "So is Ethan, he's just not here anymore. But he won't be forgotten, and we hope this just reminds people that justice must be served on his behalf. We must not forget."

Several media organizations have filed with the court to lift the gag order in the murder of Sandra Cantu. The Associated Press, Bay Area News Group and The Record of Stockton are seeking to lift the order, citing public interest.
Cantu's family opposes lifting the gag order in the case. The family's lawyer says in a motion filed Thursday that the release of murder details would be "not only morally reprehensible but unconstitutional."
The 8-year-old disappeared in March of 2009 and her body was found in a suitcase in a pond two weeks later.

"Justice for Nevaeh" holds special event in Monroe
Nevaeh went missing from her apartment complex in Monroe, Michigan and was found dead a week later, buried along the banks of the River Raisin. Family and friends held a special event Saturday night to remember the little girl.
Her case is the most high profile murder case in our area in years. To this day, the crime remains unsolved. The group called "Justice for Nevaeh" held the event at the Moose Lodge on North Macomb in Monroe.
Supporters are raising money to fund scholarships in Nevaeh's name, and also to print more reward posters. "Justice for Nevaeh" is offering $1,500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nevaeh's killer.
The event is also intended to raise awareness about the importance of child safety. Instructors are giving parents and kids tips about how to protect themselves.
"They're taught to be respectful to adults, but they also need to know they can bite them, they can scream, they can run, they can go to somebody else and tell them what's going on. They don't have to just listen to them and do exactly what they say," explained Jan Pierce, who led the child safety instruction.
