Dead Infant Found in Trash Bin

HOUSTON - A dead infant was found inside a trash bin near an apartment complex in southeast Houston.

Police found the body Tuesday around 10:48 a.m. near Windshire Apartments in the 4400 block of South Shaver Street, a Houston Police Department official said. A caller alerted HPD to having seen something in that trash bin.

Homicide investigators arrived at the scene around 1 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
