PORTLAND, Ore. --
The mother of Terri Horman's previous husband described her son's ex-wife as "a complicated person; nice, but with some issues."
Mavis Ecker also said Friday that she was shocked to see Terri Horman become associated with the Kyron Horman case.
Kyron vanished 11 weeks ago from his northwest Portland grade school. The boy's biological parents have both accused Terri Horman, Kyron's stepmother, of being involved in the disappearance.
Ecker didn't comment about the investigation, but said she remembered when Terri Horman accused her and her husband of spending too much money on a boat, neglecting Terri Horman's son's inheritance.“That really took us back because we had never been around people like that before," Ecker said. Also on Friday, Kaine Horman said he believes his estranged wife is still the primary focus in the criminal investigation into the boy's disappearance.“Unless law enforcement comes to me and says all they’ve been telling me is wrong my opinion will not change," Horman said. "I’m a data person and the data gives me no reason to believe otherwise."Kaine Horman filed for divorce in late June. He filed a restraining order against Terri Horman the same day on grounds that police gave him reason to believe she was involved in a plot to kill him and in Kyron's disappearance.Multnomah County deputies leading the investigation haven't named anyone as a suspect or person of interest.Read more at www.kptv.com
